About this app
BlueTally is self-serve IT asset management (ITAM) software: one place to track every laptop, monitor, phone and license your company owns, who has it, and when it is due for audit or maintenance. BlueTally is SOC 2 Type II certified.
What the app does
When an agent opens a ticket, the app looks up the ticket's requester in your BlueTally account by email address and lists every asset checked out to them, right in the ticket sidebar:
Product, asset tag, category, manufacturer and serial number (with a copy button)
Checkout date, warranty end, end of life, last and next audit, last maintenance
Links to open the employee and each asset in BlueTally
A larger "View all details" window, Refresh, and dark mode that follows Zendesk
Agents can troubleshoot hardware tickets without switching tools or asking the requester which device they use.
Requirements
A BlueTally account on a plan that includes integrations, and a BlueTally API key (a read-only key is enough).
Data disclosure
Zendesk data accessed: the email address of the ticket requester, read only while an agent views the ticket. It is sent to BlueTally (bluetallyapp.com) only to find the matching employee and their assets. No other ticket or user data is read or sent.
Data stored: your BlueTally API key (as a Zendesk secure setting, never exposed to the browser), your BlueTally Tenant ID and the BlueTally server of your account, in the app settings. The app keeps short-lived copies of BlueTally answers in the agent's browser session to load faster.
The app only reads from BlueTally; it never changes your BlueTally or Zendesk data. It has no servers of its own and shares no data with third parties.

如何安裝
- In BlueTally, go to Integrations → API and create an API key (read-only is enough).
- If your BlueTally account has several tenants, note your Tenant ID (profile icon → Switch Tenant).
- In Zendesk, click Install on this app and enter the BlueTally API Key and, for multi-tenant accounts, the Tenant ID. Leave BlueTally server empty: the app detects it from your key.
- Click Install.
- Open a ticket and click the Apps icon on the right: BlueTally shows the requester's assets.
If a ticket shows Invalid API Key or Invalid Tenant ID, correct the setting on the app's page in Admin Center (Apps and integrations → Zendesk Support apps → BlueTally), then press Try again on the ticket.
