How It Works
An agent opens a support ticket.
The app reads the ticket conversation history.
The conversation is sent as a request to your configured webhook URL.
Your webhook (e.g. an n8n workflow with an AI agent) generates a reply.
The reply is inserted into the ticket editor.
The agent reviews the reply, optionally adjusts the tone with buttons, and sends it.
Data Handling and Privacy
This app processes ticket conversation data (comment text and author names) by sending it to the webhook URL configured by the Zendesk administrator. No data is stored permanently by this app. No data is shared with any third party beyond the administrator's configured webhook endpoint. If the optional DeepL integration is enabled, only the generated reply text is sent to the DeepL API for translation. All credentials are stored as Zendesk secure settings and are never exposed in the browser. All configuration is managed exclusively through the Zendesk Admin Center.

Step 1: Install the App
Click the Install button to add NGB Smart Chat Assistant to your Zendesk account.
Step 2: Configure the Settings
After installation, configure the app settings:
In Zendesk, go to Admin Center.
Navigate to Apps and integrations, then click Zendesk Support apps.
Find NGB Smart Chat Assistant and click the settings icon.
Enter the Webhook URL: the full HTTPS URL of your AI webhook endpoint.
Enter the Webhook Domain: only the domain part of your webhook URL, without https:// or any path. For example: n8n.example.com.
If your webhook requires Basic Authentication, enter the Basic Auth Username and the Basic Auth Credential. The credential is stored securely and is never visible in the browser.
Optionally, enter your DeepL API credential for professional translations. You can get one at https://www.deepl.com/pro-api.
Click Save.
Step 3: Start Using the Assistant
Open any support ticket that has conversation history.
The app automatically generates a suggested reply in the sidebar.
Use the tone adjustment buttons to refine the response (e.g. more formal, shorter, friendlier).
Type custom instructions in the text field at the bottom for specific changes.
Click the gear icon in the toolbar to customize which buttons are displayed.
