Write The Company: Dont Go Nair There
After combing through information about Nair for Men Hair Remover, I discovered the area where I wanted to use it wasnt being promoted. I contacted Church & Dwight Co., Inc. to find out why
Dear Nair Hair Removers,
Whats the difference between Nair for Men and the Nair you make for women? Isnt Nair Nair? Or are you just splitting hairs and simply changing the label with the same stuff inside?
I know Nair was originally created for hairy women. Its a terrific idea because Ive met quite a few women that needed more than a trim in places other than on their head. However, if I understand correctly, Nair for Men should only be applied to the back, chest, arms or legs. Why not a mans face? My beard grows faster than Chia on a pet. I wake up at 8:00 and already have a 5:00 shadow. Why cant Nair safely remove unwanted facial hair and make my face look as smooth as a babys behind without the diaper rash? Another problem I have with shaving is I tend to loose a lot of blood. Nair for faces would surely be preferable to scraping off the top three epidermis layers everyday with a razor.
There must be a way to face facial hair and Im hoping Nair is working on the answer. Are you? Until your response arrives, Im neither Nair nor there.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Church & Dwight Co., Inc. regarding Nair® Men Hair Remover Body Cream.
Depilatories such as Nair are strongly alkaline and can be erosive in areas of mucous membranes and other sensitive parts of the body. Use of Nair in these sensitive areas, including the face, especially if left in contact for any length of time, can cause irritation.

Final Thoughts
Now you know why you shouldnt Nair your face. This got me curious about the other sensitive no Nair zones, and according to the Nair for Men website FAQs, those include your head, nose, ears and nipples, plus perianal and genital areas. Its too late for my head, anyway, and Im thankful for whatever hair is growing in those other places, so Ive never even thought of Nairing them. I was just looking for a way to get out of shaving.
They already have Nair for Men, the Nair women use and Nair Pretty for teenagers. There was no mention regarding how Nair for men and women differ. Who knows, maybe Nair Facial Hair Remover is next. Certainly, many men, as well as women not planning to join the circus, will find this sort of product useful. In the meantime, youve got Nair for those other body parts and if theres any area or issue you think a manufacturer should face up to; one way to see where they stand is to Write The Company.
